Data Science Rising Star Pivigo hires Adam Baker

Pivigo are pleased to announce a new star addition to the Pivigo team Adam Baker, who is joining as Chief Revenue Officer.  Adam was formerly UK Managing Director at Sociomantic Labs, a Dunnhumby company; COO at The Guardian Media Group and founder of Blottr, a news-tech company.

Adam has been a prominent figure in the London technology and startup eco system for many years, having founded his first company in 2003 and building it from concept to exit. In his role at the Guardian Media Group, Adam was instrumental in building revenue and running day-to-day operations. His entrepreneurial instincts, coupled with experience of scaling early stage technology companies, are a great addition to Pivigo’s all-star team.

Pivigo is championing data science and how transformative it is to any business. Having worked with nearly 100 companies, Pivigo unlocks data to bring innovation, through price optimisation, risk reduction, improving operational efficiencies, or helping prevent medical conditions – through the use of data science and understanding how data can help these businesses.

Pivigo has been named as one of Forbes’ fastest growing and most exciting businesses of 2017. The VC-backed start-up is hot on the London data science scene, having generated revenues of over £1m in the last year alone. Under direction from CEO Kim Nilsson, who has recently been named as one of the Top 100 UK Influencers in Big Data, Pivigo works with a wide range of companies, from FTSE 100 corporates to the freshest start-ups, on solving any problems they may have within Big Data.

Pivigo CEO Kim Nilsson said of the appointment:

“The standard of candidates that came through were outstanding and we found the perfect one in Adam Baker. We are very excited to see what he can do to help us scale our business”.

Adam Baker stated:

“I am thrilled to be joining Pivigo as CRO. I join at a very exciting juncture in Pivigo’s journey and at a time when the importance of data science is becoming increasingly prevalent. Having access to the largest pool of global talent was a determining factor in my decision to join Pivigo and I have been really impressed with the results the company have managed to deliver for their clients thus far. I am looking forward to leading Pivigo’s revenue charge and developing the business with the founders over the coming months and years.”
